Daniel Sachs | Managing Director

Dan co-founded Deca in 2014.

Previously, Dan was Vice President of Development at Majestic Realty. Majestic is the largest private developer of industrial real estate nationally, with a portfolio of over 115 mmsf. Here, Dan co-led an 80 acre mixed-use redevelopment of the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Previously, Dan was an acquisitions professional at Walton Street Capital, a global real estate private equity firm with over $12 billion in equity invested.

Dan received a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University.

Matt Stern | Managing Director

Matt co-founded Deca in 2014. 

Previously, Matt was a private equity investor at Bain Capital and Starwood Capital, which manage $75bn and $51bn, respectively. 

Previously, he was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.

Matt also co-founded Artha Project, a non-profit that provides studio space to emerging artists in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Matt received an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Urban Planning from Harvard University.

Stanley Zheng | Vice President of Acquisitions & Development

Previously, Stanley was a development professional at Hines, where he oversaw the development and acquisition of multifamily and office assets in the Bay Area.

Prior to Hines, Stanley was a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Stanley graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a BA in Applied Mathematics.

Stanley also holds an MBA from The Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar.

Travis Duncan| Vice President of Development

Previously, Travis was an AVP at Sares Regis Group of Northern California, where he oversaw the entitlement, design, construction and lease-up of residential projects in the Bay Area. Here, he led the entitlement of a 36-acre mixed-use master plan in Sunnyvale, CA.

Prior to SRGNC, Travis worked at Katerra, Tesla and Rudolph & Sletten.

Travis graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University with a BS in Civil Engineering and from the University Honors Program.

Travis also holds an MS in Civil Engineering and an MBA from Stanford University.

Barrie Grinberg| Director, Acquisitions & Development

Before Deca, Barrie was a Senior Director at Venture For America, an urban economic development organization where she led the city partnerships team.

Prior to VFA, Barrie was a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Barrie graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a degree in Metropolitan Studies.

Barrie also holds an MBA and MS in Sustainable Built Environment from Stanford University.

Griffin Schreader | Senior Associate, Acquisitions & Development

Before Deca, Griffin was a Senior Associate at Treasure Island Development Group (TIDG), the developer for the $7 billion master plan community on Treasure Island in San Francisco.

Prior to TIDG, Griffin worked at Cooper Street Capital and was an MBA Associate at Lift Partners and USAA Real Estate.

Griffin received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Clemson University.

Griffin also holds an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ray Wong | Head of Finance & Accounting

Prior to Deca, Ray was the Head of Finance & Accounting at March Capital Management, a residential and industrial real estate developer.

He has also worked for Sand Hill Property Company, Fremont Realty Capital, and Carmel Partners. Ray began his career at KPMG.

Ray graduated from San Francisco State University and received two Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and in corporate finance.

He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.

Rodolfo Baquerizo | Senior Associate

Before Deca, Rodolfo led finance at Grupo AB, a privately-held development firm in Latin America with more than 30 mm sqft of real estate developed.

Prior to Grupo AB, he was an investment banker at Citigroup, where he advised large multinational companies and completed transactions worth a combined $3.0 billion.

Rodolfo received a BS in Civil Engineering from Duke University, where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi and president of the Civil Engineering Honor Society, and an MBA from Stanford University.
